„Back to the Beginning“, das Charity-Konzert, mit dem sich Black-Sabbath-Sänger Ozzy Osbourne am 5. Juli von der Öffentlichkeit verabschiedet hat, spielt mehr Geld ein als alle anderen Charity-Konzerte vorher. Laut einer Liste, die das amerikanische Billboard-Magazin erstellt hat, übertrifft es sogar die Einnahmen der beiden Charity-Konzerte Farm Aid und Fire Aid zusammen. Das Rolling Stone Magazine spricht von rund 200 Millionen Dollar, Billboard von 190 Millionen Dollar, die für wohltätige Zwecke gespendet werden sollen.
Die Summe wird wie angekündigt unter drei verschiedenen Organisationen aufgeteilt. Das Geld geht an das Birmingham Children’s Hospital, das Acorn Children’s Hospice und das Parkinson-Hilfsforum Cure Parkinson’s.
Tom Morello von Rage Against The Machine, der im Villa-Park-Stadium in Birmingham die Rolle als künstlerischer und organisatorischer Leiter für „Back to the Beginning” innehatte, schreibt auf Instagram:„THANKYOU @ozzyosbourne for trusting me to be the Musical Director of the “Back To The Beginning” show. It was over a year of hard work but heavy metal was the music that made me love music and it was a labor of love. We raised a ton of money for a great cause and so many great musicians & bands & fans all over the world paid tribute to the ALL TIME greats.“

2026 kommt der Kinofilm
Laut The Circle kommt der 100 Minuten lange Kinofilm zum Konzert Anfang 2026 in die Kinos. Er wird den Titel „Back to the Beginning: Ozzy’s Final Bow“ tragen und wird von Mercury Studios produziert.
